Which dress?

21Jul09

Even though I have already purchased a lovely dress for my wedding, I’m doubting it. It is a very pretty dress, but it’s also pretty uncomfortable. I’d also need to get a corset and REALLY high heeled shoes to make me tall enough so I don’t fall on my butt. I’d always planned on being a short dressed bride, but I guess I had a momentary lapse of sanity when I bought my dress. I told myself “You only get the one chance to wear the big white dress!” Eh, that’s true, but in all honesty, who cares?

I’m still not 100% sure if I’ll wear the original dress or not. The dress is at my parents house and I will try it on again in two weeks. If I feel the magic, I’ll suck it up and wear it for the ceremony, but there is no way in HAYLE I’m wearing it for the whole reception. It is long and lacy and above all ITCHY. So, I will be getting a second dress regardless, the choice is whether I wear it for the whole shindig or just the reception.

I’ve narrowed it down to two choices that have the look I’m going for and fit my budget (under $200). The first is from the David’s Bridal online collection:

And the second is from nordstrom.com.

Which would you choose?

    I’m digging the Nordstrom dress!

  2. I’m not really feeling the flower on the Nordstrom one, so I’d pick the DB one. However, would you possibly wear either one of them again, or could one be dyed? Then I’d pick that one.

the first … for SURE! I would statch it up in a heart beat if I wasn’t already over budget on my Dolly Couture dress.
